Men in Black Wiki

With the upcoming and HIGHLY anticipated release of Men in Black III, we wanted to take a look back at some of the different aliens Jay and Kay encountered in the first two films. Who is your favorite alien so far, and are there any aliens not on the list that you would have included? What are you hoping to see in MIB 3? Let us know in the comments below!

Main Antagonists[]

Edgar the Bug (MIB)[]

Edgar-human SS 01

Edgar's human form.

Named after the human whose skin it used as a (rather sloppy) disguise, Edgar the Bug is the main antagonist of the first MIB film. In search of a powerful source of subatomic energy in the form of a tiny galaxy held by the Arquilians, his success would have meant the destruction of Earth.
Appeared in:
Men in Black

Incredibly strong
Status:
Deceased (killed by Kay from the inside)
Edgar-bug SS 01

Serleena (MIB II)[]

Serleena SS 01

Edgar's human form.

The main antagonist of Men in Black II, Serleena is a shapeshifting Kylothian Queen, disguised as a female human lingerie model. She was summoned to Earth by Scrad after reports that the coveted Light of Zartha was still there despite her searching the rest of the galaxy for it. In her true form, Serleena resembles a plant-like hydra, and seems to be able to increase her size indefinitely.

Species:

Incredibly strong
Status:
Deceased (killed by Jay and Kay using energy rifles)
Serleena-true SS 01

Boris (MIB III)[]

Boris is the main villain of the upcoming Men in Black III. Very little is known about Boris, all that is known that he is an alien, he has a large black beard, and he has been described as a "biker from hell". For reasons currently unknown, Boris travels back to the 1960s to kill a young Kay, which would cause a chain reaction that would destroy the world. Jay must then also go back to the 60s to stop Boris from achieving this goal.

Additional Aliens[]

Gentle Rosenburg is an Arquilian living on Earth, and is a member of the Arquilian royal family. Like other Arquilians, he has a robotic human he lives in. He is the keeper of the Arquilian Galaxy, and owns a jewelery store. With his dying breath, he gives Jay a rather cryptic clue about how to save the Earth.

Frank the Pug[]

Merely an alien that Kay shakes down (literally) for info in the first movie, by MIB II he is working in the MIB mailroom and manages to get a shot at being Jay's partner. Jay dreads this notion, and rightly so as Frank turns out to be more of an annoying distraction than anything else. In the first film, Frank seems to have an ear to the ground with information contacts out in the streets, but in MIB II he seems to have lost this level of usefulness.

Status:

Worms[]

The Worms are a mischievous bunch, who have a bit of a problem with stealing. Their loyalty is questionable, as they abandon Earth and MIB when the Arquilian attack seems imminent, but Jay trusts them enough to look after Laura while he and Kay are trying to deal with Serleena.

Jeebs is an alien living on earth in the disguise of a pawn shop owner who deals in stolen objects, both alien and human. Jeebs has always been a shady character but has proved useful more than once for agents Kay and Jay, actually helping to restore Kay's memory in MIB II. Aside from the usual wares of a shady pawn shop owner, Jeebs has a cache of highly illegal alien technology and guns available to the right customer for the right price.

Appeared in:
Men in Black, Men in Black II

Mikey[]

Mikey is an alien of an unknown species, who is supposed to be in jail. He is an alien on the run, who attempts to disguise himself as a Mexican immigrant. It is Agent D's botched attempt to neutralize Mikey that leads to his retirement from field work, and to Kay's search for a new partner/replacement. (which would end up being Jay)

A Squid is MIB codename for a species of tentacle bearing squid-like alien. The only Squid that is seen is a small newborn, as its parents are in their human disguises. While Jay attempts to help the mother give birth, Kay learns from the father that they were scared enough to risk spaceflight with a newborn, which helps him piece together the full gravity of the situation.
