We are the best kept secret in the universe. Our mission is to monitor extraterrestrial activity on Earth. We are your best, last and only line of defense. We work in secret, we exist in shadow...and we dress in black.

The Men in Black Series is the series of all of the entire series of the fictional Men in Black. The series was created by Lowell Cunningham, who created and wrote The Men in Black comic series. Following that, the series was created as a series of films, an animated series, a few video games, and more.

The Men in Black

In 1990, The Men in Black was first published. The first volume contained three issues and was published by Aircel Comics. The next year, another volume was released, but due to financial issues, the comics were published by Aircel, but released by Malibu Comics. No new comics were released in the following years, and Malibu was bought out by Marvel Comics. After the release of the first film, Marvel released four one-shots that tie in with the film. Over 13 years later, there has yet to be any more comics released.

The comics followed the story of Kay, Jay, and Zed. They are all workers of the MiB. They stop people from witnessing any form of paranormal activity, not just aliens. They even go and kill witnesses who see what should not be seen. Another part of the story is trying to track down Ecks, who went rogue on learning that they seek to manipulate and reshape the world in their own image by keeping the supernatural hidden. However, the Marvel comics followed the story of the film, which is different from the comics.

Film Series

The films still follow the MiB, but instead of stopping paranormal activity, they monitor alien activity on Earth. The films also take a more humorous look at the MiB, unlike the super-serious comic MiB. The films follow the story of Kay and his new partner Jay, along with other characters like Zed on their quest to stop the evil aliens.

In 1997, a film based on The Men in Black was released. Men in Black was released and was a huge hit. It was also hugely successful. Five years later, a sequel, Men in Black II was released. It was not as critically or financially successful, but it did garner a profit. In 2012, a third film, Men in Black III was released.

Barry Sonnenfeld, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have expressed interest in a possible Men in Black IV film.[1][2]

Animated Series

After the success of the first film, a spin-off Men in Black: The Series was released. It is an animated television show that ran for four seasons, from 1997 to 2001.

The series is based on the first film, and even uses the events of the first film happened before the events. But, the ending of the film is ignored, where Kay is neutralized. Many characters were also redesigned.
